This movie sucked! Ya...it sucked. These two scientists create this creature, then find they have to hide it so they take it to an old barn that belongs to Polly's character. They both get attached to it, more so Polly. The movie takes forever to get going and when it does it's over. Plus all you hear throughout the movie is the two main characters( Polly and Brody) bitching and moaning at each other. I kept saying "shut the fuck up already!" In fact every character in this movie annoyed me. I'm pretty open minded, so i try and take something good out of almost everything if i can so i'll say this... for a hybrid, it's pretty cute. As a baby you'll be saying "ahhh it's cute", then as it rapidly grows up into a women, it's actually kinda pretty(doesn't look much like your typical scary monster). It's only real weapon is it's tail. that's it. i wouldn't call this movie a horror at all. it's sci-fi if anything and still lame at that. it's a Canadian film and you can tell. It's kinda low budget, not a hollywood movie at all. I'm all for different movie's, non hollywood movies etc, I love that stuff, some of my favorites aren't hollywood movies at all, but this movie isn't good. i kept wanting the movie to speed up and just end. what does that tell you. if you are interested, you get to see this creature fully nude as well. She has a tail, some weird legs, and her eyes are a little strange but aside from that she looks pretty close to a human. I'm guessing that guys will try and find out who the girl is under that makeup after seeing her nude. Plus there is only about 3 killings and you don't see a thing! Just some scrape marks on one guy, another gets a tail in the chest(the creature has a sharp tail) and the other guy gets flown away somewhere) The fact that this movie was rated so well from other reviewers is a joke. The movie sucked. you want a movie that's similar and allot better than this shit, go see "Species". I wasn't even the biggest fan of "Species" but it was better than this crap. Even "Jeepers Creepers" was kiiiinda similar with the whole creature/but at times looks human thing if i remember correctly and way better then this movie. At least that was more of a legit horror flick. Avoid this movie!

Brody's character has sex with the creature who you find out has the dna from Polly's character in it.
At the end the creature turns itself into a male(ya, you read right) and rapes Polly, impregnating her. Then you get to see her have a baby bump and know the inevitable sequel is in the works. Hey movie makers, you want success with the sequel, just have the damn creature kill about 20 people and right there it'll be a better movie than this. Make sure the killings are inventive and hopefully bloody and BAM, better movie. That's my first suggestion.
One other spoiler is that the creature has wings that come out of it's back but you hardly see them. So when the hybrid looks it's coolest it's over anyway's and you only see it fly for about 30 seconds in total.
